Sweepstakes begins July 7, 2006 and entries must be received by 11:59pm ET September 7, 2006 to be eligible to win. One entry per email address/person per day. Only entries submitted electronically to the Web site in accordance with these rules will be eligible for consideration. For e-mail entries, the entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entries that are mechanically reproduced, contain inaccurate information, do not fully comply with these rules or that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged or otherwise not received by the Sponsors, in whole or in part, due to computer, human or technical error of any kind are not eligible.
From all eligible entries received, Outdoor Republic will randomly select the winner on or about September 8, 2006. Winner will be notified by e-mail on or about September 15, 2006. If winner is notified by e-mail, the winner must reply with all contact information requested in the notification within five (5) days from the date notification e-mail was sent, or another winner may be selected. Winner will be obligated to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability within 14 days of email mail notification. In the event of noncompliance within this time period, if the potential winner cannot be reached at the address on his or her entry form, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable for whatever reason, that prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Limit one prize per person. Winner selection is under the supervision of Outdoor Republic, whose decisions are binding and final in all respects.
Sweepstakes open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older or the age of majority in his/her state of residence. Employees of Outdoor Republic and members of their immediate families & household members are not eligible. Sweepstakes subject to all federal, state and local laws and is void wherever prohibited by law.
Any prize or prize notification returned to Outdoor Republic as undeliverable may result in the awarding of that prize to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing. By acceptance of a prize, winner consents to the use of his/her name, photographs or other likenesses, testimonials and other biographical information for any and all purposes, including, but not limited to, advertising, trade and/or promotion on behalf of Outdoor Republic, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering the sweepstakes, entrants will be sharing their personal information with Outdoor Republic. Personal information collected by Outdoor Republic will be used for administration of the sweepstakes. In addition, by entering, entrants agree to Outdoor Republic use of entrant's personal information as described in its privacy policy at www.outdoorrepublic.com. All entries become property of Outdoor Republic and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Consumer Disclosure
The approximate retail value of the prize is $300 and consists of one $100 Gift Certificate from Eastern Mountain Sports one $100 Gift Certificate from Lawson Hammock and one $100 in Skin Defense Products from Tec Labs.
Any unclaimed and/unused portion of prize package will be forfeited and will not be substituted. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner will be sent an IRS Federal 1099-MISC tax form for the retail value of any prize at or above $600. No transfer or substitution of prize permitted, except that Outdoor Republic reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that the offered prize is unavailable. Prize values are in U.S. currency. All prizes will be awarded within 1 year of receipt of valid and executed winners' affidavit or prize confirmation. However, any portion of the prize not accepted by the winner will be forfeited.
Outdoor Republic and its subsidiary or affiliate companies, shall not have any obligation or responsibility with regard to (i) entries that contain inaccurate information or do not comply with these rules, (ii) entries, prize claims or notifications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient, in whole or in part, due to computer, human or technical error of any kind, (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties, (iv) any inability of the winner to accept the prize for any reason; (v) if a prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellation, delays or interruptions due to Acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism or weather; or (vi) any damages or losses of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from awarding, acceptance, possession use, misuse, loss or misdirection of any prize or resulting from participating in this promotion or any promotion or prize related activities. Outdoor Republic in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of this promotion or otherwise violating these rules. If Outdoor Republic determines, in its discretion, that technical difficulties or unforeseen events outside their control compromise the integrity or viability of the promotion, Outdoor Republic reserves the right to void the entries at issue, modify the promotion and/or terminate the relevant portion of the promotion.
